Hon. William Henry Leicester STANHOPE and Candida BOND were married on 28 Apr 2001 in the church of St James' Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire. Candida BOND (daughter of Ian BOND) was born in 1973 in Cotswolds, GB.
Candida grew up in Brockley along with a brother and two sisters. She enjoyed a vigorous childhood, being on the England swimming team and playing a fairish game of tennis (her sister represented England). When she was 19, Candida met David Wynne, the renowned sculptor. Over the next 5 years she helped him on major projects and she also studied sculpture in Paris.
In 1998, by accident she was awarded the modeling contract for Chanel's new perfume "Allure" and became the face for the advertisements. She had to juggle her modeling assignments with her sculpture work.
